Jessi: The girl at Starbucks said there was sugar in the protein powder, but I did some research-looks like its safe! (I would go with the research answer :)). http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/nutrition-calories/food/starbucks/protein-powder/
Linds: Here are the muffin recipes I have acquired thus far: 1. I substituted the “honey or maple syrup” with one (heaping) tablespoon of apple butter. http://cavemanfood.blogspot.com/2008/11/mostly-paleo-muffins.html
2. This one is delish- I put the pecans in the muffins instead of one top. http://libidiny.blogspot.com/2010/08/coconut-carrot-muffins.html
Breaky- egg bake with assorted veggies, tea Lunch- chicken salad with avocado, apple, celery, onion wrapped in a leaf of romaine Snack- hamburger patty with mustard, hot peppers Supper- snapper cooked in garlic, onion, tomato, bell peppers, with steamed brocolli
Pre-Workout: few nuts (went to the local Y in Montreal)
Breakfast: eggs with tomatoes & mushrooms, 1/2 avocado, black coffee (starting to taste ok!)
Lunch: BIG mixed greens salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, grilled chicken, olive oil...
Being able to RESIST the most delicious smelling slice of perfectly toasted sundried tomato & cheese bread = PRICELESS! Watching your sister eat it = TORTURE! haha
Snack: few nuts, black coffee
Dinner: another big salad with tomatoes, grilled chicken, olive oil dressing, few nuts, 1 glass red wine
Jaime...the black coffee getting better & better - I'm drinking it now like it's a double double!! The trick is to get really good quality coffee which i've been experimenting with. And I'm feeling your pain about the cheese bread - my mouth starting watering reading your comment lol.
That's too funny Holland! My description didn't do it justice! It was pure torture! The BEST bakeries are in Montreal! It was torture the entire time I was there. Thank god I'm home now!
And yes, good quality black coffee makes a difference. I don't know if I'll continue to drink it black once the challenge is over, but at least now I know I can! :)
Amanda... All I see are carbs, carbs, and more carbs. You need to consume more protein. As far as the protein powder, there is always some type of sugar in it. Escpecially if it's from Starbucks. The only thing that doesn't have sugar in it is pretty much tap water. hahaha
Dawson...Thanks. Friday was bad- lazy, lack of appetitite and tired! Excuses I know, but are you finding the same pattern with all my days or or you just noticing it today? Overall- I'm feeling great!

breakfast: chicken, maca nuts, apple with sunflower butter.
spent the day from late morning until 5:30 at my nephews bday party - totally unprepared, only able to snack on raw fruit & veg the entire time.
dinner: chicken, spaghetti sauce, maca nuts & sunflower butter - all carbed out.
did have 2 cups of coffee during the day and lots of water.
Resisted all the delicious party foods, including birthday cake & pizza.
Breakfast - salad, 2 eggs, apple, pear and almonds
Snack - Macadamia nuts, almonds, pecans and dried mango
Lunch - Salmon with onions, green pepper, garlic and spices on spaghetti squash
Dinner - Curried Turkey (left over Turkey, onions, garlic, celery, apple and coconut milk) over boiled spaghetti squash. It was very good.
Snack - A second serving of Curried Turkey
I slept an incredible amount today. 2 hrs in the afternoon and then I went to bed at 7:00PM.
