Coconut Crust

Here is a tasty alternative for pizza crust. I found it to be more tasty than the almond crust. I wanted to post this about a week or so ago but got lazy and I forgot. You may be able to see a bit of the crust under my thick-topped "pizza".

Ingredients (Crust)

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Ingredients (Marinara Sauce)
  • 3/4 cup of crushed organic tomatoes (Utopia is a good brand in Canada)
  • 1 Tbsp dried oregano
  • Pepper for seasoning

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl then add remaining ingredients
  3. Spread the "dough" evenly on a pregreased cookie sheet or parchment paper
  4. Cook until golden brown (can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on your oven)
  5. Add whatever delicious topping s you want and bake for another 5-10 minutes
